Prior to becoming a founding director and shareholder of Taurus in April 2000, Alan worked with the Public Trust and the Inland Revenue Department before a 17 year stint at a previous Christchurch accountancy practice, the latter part of that as an Associate of that firm.
Alan is responsible for running the business services team and specialises in tax planning, management accounting as well as normal business services to individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
By leading a team of skilled accounting staff, Alan is responsible for ensuring that clients interim or end of year accounts and related income tax returns are completed on a timely, accurate and tax effective basis.
Alan is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA). Among his strengths is the ability to identify structures so that clients achieve maximum wealth benefits.
Alan's interests include mountain biking, golf, swimming and toastmasters.
